Restormel Childminding Network was formed by a small group of childminders who decided to get together and promote the good work they were doing.
Childminding has transformed from how it was regarded many years ago. The role of a childminder has become ever more professional through the years. Our network has grown in size and we now have around 50 childminders working across the St. Austell and surrounding areas.
Childminders are fully trained, quality inspected, and some are accredited to deliver free nursery early education places to 3 & 4 year old children. Childminders do not simply babysit children. We are a professional group of people, who have an important role to play for children. Many parents need registered childcare, but feel that a large nursery environment is not the best place for their child.
